Cause 1 of 4: GPS position usage for applications is turned on

If GPS position usage for applications is turned on, your phone will use mobile data when an application uses GPS to determine your position and is not connected to a Wi-Fi-network.

Solution: Turn off GPS position usage for applications.

Press the indicator next to "Access to my location" to turn the function on or off.

If you select Use GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks, your phone can find your exact position using the GPS satellites, the mobile network and nearby Wi-Fi networks. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.

Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.

Press Settings.
Press Security & privacy.
Press Location services.

2 Turn use of GPS position on or off

Press the indicator next to "Access to my location" to turn the function on or off.
If you turn on geotagging, your phone can find your position using GPS. If you turn off the function, you can't use any GPS functions on your phone.

3 Select positioning method

If you select Use GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks, your phone can find your exact position using the GPS satellites, the mobile network and nearby Wi-Fi networks. Satellite-based GPS requires a clear view of the sky.
If you select Use Wi-Fi and mobile networks, your phone can find your approximate position using the mobile network and nearby Wi-Fi networks.

4 Return to the home screen

Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
